The Emperor's Watchmarker by Lemn Sissay

I like this poetry book because I like writing poetry. There are some poems that are funny and some that are sad and some that make me happy. I liked reading all of them and I liked the ones that make me happy mostly.

Poetry books have lots of poems some that rhyme and some that don't that's why I like poetry books.

Miss Wolf and the Porkers by Caroline Condon

Once upon a time there was a family named the Porkers. Their kids names are Dan Shorty and Rails. They are the nicest kids in the world. They smile at people they don't know and help people when they are sad like when a child was running and tripped over a rock one of the boys just ran to him to help him up. Shorty is called Shorty because he is just short. Rails is called Rails because they could not think of another name but they had a book of names and they did not even look at it. There was Rodney,Russell, Laurence, Rynel, Sam,Brian and Joshua. Their perents were so mean and they started to run away. The kids were happy and called some friends so they could celebrate and after they celebrated they went to sleep. After that they went to school and had a rough day at school.

This book is really good to read. I hope you enjoy it too!

Tortuga by Paul Geraghty

I like Tortuga because it has funny paragraphs. Tortuga is about a turtle that's stranded on a beach with other animals who want to hurt him. I think children would enjoy this story and the pictures that go with it.

Hyram and B.by Brian Caswell

I liked Hyram and B. because it was a really good story and it's about two bears who get thrown away and another girl finds them and keeps them forever. The girl who found them understood the language of bears. I thought it was a nice book and it is now one of my favourites.

Superfudge by Judy Blume

Superfudge is a good story because it always has suprises and it is interesting. It is sometimes funny because Peter's little brother Fudge sometimes tricks Peter. I'd rate this book 10/10. I think children should read this book because they can experience what it is like to have a little brother that has tricks up his sleeves.

The Hidden Forest by Jeannie Baker

The Hidden Forest is a great book because it is colourful, has a lot of environmental scraps and looks like it has real underwater scenes. It is about a boy called Ben who wants to trap a big fish in his trap. He is never satisfied, but when a big fish turns his boat over he calls for Sophie who is a strong diver. He sees a wonderful underwater world and a big whale. Instead of killing his last catch he liberates it. I would rate this book 10 out of 10 because of the colourful expression used. I think that ages 6-8 would like this book and I hope everyone else will like it as much as I did!

Too Cool Cricket Legend by Phil Kettle

What I like about Too Cool Cricket Legend that it is very descriptive and at the end of the book it explains the rules of cricket for people that don't know how to play. It also has a quiz after you have read the rules. I also recommend the other Too Cool books for people to read.
